Morongo Valley Fire UPDATE #3

Good morning Morongo Valley residents here is a little information to keep our information flowing.

The Morongo Valley CSD / Fire Department has initiated a LOCAL operational plan for any response to the APPLE fire and local 911 emergencies.

What is in place:

1. Fire department has established an active staffing recall and placed members in a “duty status”.

2. Unit staffing:

Medic Engine 461 staffed with 4 personnel

Brush Patrol staffed with 2 personnel

Chief officers – 2 with staff vehicles

Water tender with 1

3. Emergency response plans in place incase of Evacuation order is initiated

4. Emergency notification to Morongo Valley residents being arranged with San Bernardino County if/when needed.

5. Continued updates using social media, phone calls, and CSD website.

For now, this is all planning and preparation for a possible event in Morongo Valley. NO EVACUATION WARNINGS or ORDERS CURRENTLY.
